Gjøvik University College is the most research intensive college in Norway. It has 3500 students focused in the areas of Nursing, Engineering, and Computer Science. The college is host to one of the largest information security research groups in Europe and host the Centre for Cyber and Information Security CCIS, one of the largest public private partnership in Norway that deals with cyber and information security issues . The College has participated in many EU projects, and accounted for more than 50% of all EU funding to colleges in Norway. From the first of Jan 2016 the college will be merging with NTNU and two other colleges to form the largest University in Norway.
